The Whitley Bay International Jazz Festival was founded in 1990. Stylistic limits are from Ragtime to Swing. The Festival now presents 25 or more bands each year, with approximately one-third coming from outside the UK. Emphasis is on showcasing young musicians. All concerts are held under one roof at the Menzies Silverlink Park Hotel.
